The Karaka are commonly known as a lush and resilient plant in nature and as such make a great easy-care indoor plant. The karaka has a beautiful deep-green colour with large, glossy leaves. The beautiful Karaka tree has been proven to be a great performer in indoor environments and is celebrated by interior plantscapers in the USA for its lush yet architectural appearance. These Karaka have been 'double-planted', meaning each pot has two Karaka plants growing together for a fuller, more bushy appearance.

These Karaka have been double-planted to ensure a full and beautiful presence.  They have been treated to the highest standards of insect pest control and they have been slowly acclimatized to the indoor environment. They have also been potted into the highest grade indoor plant potting mix. All to ensure that your plant has the best chance to thrive in your home or workplace.

These plants are sold in a standard 14cm grey grow-pot. These fit perfectly into our Elho cover pots made of 100% recycled plastic, available in black or white, which can be added to your order.

Care Instructions

The best lighting for a Karaka plant is a bright spot away from harsh direct sunlight; although the Karaka is able to adjust to very low light areas as well. The Karaka can tolerate living in a small pot for many years, and is also able to be re-potted into a larger pot to allow for more growth.

It is best to keep the Karaka moist but not wet. This means only watering your plant if the surface of the soil is starting to become dry and crumbly (we usually water once a week with around one metric cup of water per plant).

Like all houseplants, it is best to fertilise annually to ensure continued growth for many years to come.
