Shore Ribbonwood (Makaka) is a twiggy, spreading shrub featuring small green leaves and fragrant flowers in spring. Grows up to 2m tall by 2m wide, but can be kept trimmed to any desired size. Makes an excellent low shelter or hedging species for difficult coastal situations including poor soil conditions. Can tolerate wet soils. It is semi-deciduous, so may lose some leaves in winter. Prefers full-sun or part-shade.
