Tree Fuchsia/Kotukutuku (Fuchsia excorticata) is a stunning native tree that is the world's largest Fuchsia species. Thrives in a variety of conditions but prefers a moist soil and loves some shade or shelter if possible. Very fast growing over spring/summer but will slow down and may drop leaves in Autumn/Winter as they are semi-deciduous. Beautiful flowers in spring and edible berries in late summer. Grows to around 5m in height.
